I come from a culture that profoundly recognizes and worships women from time immemorial, both human & divine form. There are various references in our scriptures emphasizing the values of womanhood.  A woman is a full circle. Within her is the power to create, nurture & transform.

Women have come afar in today’s world. There is no career or terrain that women haven’t conquered. It sure takes every grit and determination for her to cross the horizon. Her silent sacrifices speak for themselves, her struggles, her fears, her worries, her patience, her passion never let her give up her ambitions.

Equal pay isn’t just the women’s issue right now. Look for her not only for comfort, but for strength and inspiration. Embracing equality is recognizing and valuing the inherent worth and dignity of every person, regardless of their background, race, gender, religion, or any other personal characteristics. It involves treating all people fairly and working towards a society in which everyone has equal opportunities.

When you dwell in an energy of positivity and power, you become the magnet of miracles. Each time a woman stands up for herself, without knowing it possibly, without claiming it, she stands up for all the women. She needs her tribe; a glowing woman can help another women glow and still be lit. Every woman needs her clan, it’s her support system, it’s the canoe that makes no progress unless everyone paddles.

I often make time to make it special for my clan. Cooking a special meal on their long day, a phone call, leaving flowers on their porch, handwritten cards, curating gift baskets, checking on them often, leaving a note on their door, offering a listening ear, making them handmade gifts, celebrating their success, are to count a few.

Be that woman who roots for another woman, who works to build others up rather than tear them down. One who relishes the success of her sisters and never wishes ill upon another. Make her feel special in every opportunity you get. A little kindness goes a long way.
